Polenta
Gala hosted by Fogolar Furlan to support local VON
The
Fogolar Furlan Club is hosting a Polenta Gala on Saturday, August 31, 2013 to
support The Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) Windsor-Essex. The gala will
feature wine tasting sponsored by Pelee Island Winery and a white glove seven
course dinner. The evening’s live entertainment will be by Big Louie & The
Band. Tickets to the Polenta Gala are $70, with a partial tax receipt
available from VON. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Fogolar Main Office
at 519-966-2230.
Proceeds from this event
will directly support the many programs and services offered by VON. The VON’s
community support programs and services depend on fundraised dollars to
operate. Programs like Meals on Wheels, Home Help, Supportive Housing,
and prenatal education would cease to exist without the generosity of the local
community.

individuals to be in control of their health. We keep seniors safe and cared
for in their homes; expectant parents educated and informed on the pending
birth of their first born. We are so grateful to the Fogolar for recognizing

The Fogolar Furlan Windsor
was established in 1961 and celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2011. The
culmination of our year-long celebration was Polentafest where we successfully
set a new Guinness World Record™ for making the largest Polenta - 6150 lbs of
it!
