Kingsville Folk Music Festival & The Bank Theatre May 23, 2015 Concert

Kingsville Folk Festival & The Bank Theatre Present Annie & Rod Capps with Jason Dennie

Following a SOLD OUT first time joint fundraising effort, Kingsville Folk Music Festival & The Bank Theatre will present the second concert in a series, featuring multi-award winners Annie & Rod Capps with Jason Dennie at the beautifully renovated Bank Theatre and Meeting Place, Saturday, May 23.

On a musical journey that began in 1982, Annie and Rod Capps have earned sincere praise for their songwriting and musicianship, with two albums topping the Folk-DJ charts, multiple Detroit Music Award nominations, and as 2-time Kerrville New Folk Finalists.

They’ve been cultivating a symbiotic sound that reflects their deep and intuitive understanding of each other, delivering songs about broken things and poignant little ponderings with a rootsy vibe, a touch of twang and a soulful groove. Anne and Rod have recorded 1 EP and 6 full length CDs of original music, with a few notable exceptions. Their growing and devoted fan base is awaiting their highly anticipated, soon to be released CD, "Searching For Neverland." And, as ever, Gamble Rogers Fingerstyle Champion, multi Cammy Award winner, illustrious mandolin, guitarist and singer Jason Dennie will join them on stage. The Capps and Dennie have thrilled audiences in sold out concerts and return to the area as fan favourites from the inaugural Kingsville Folk Music Festival last August.

The Bank Theatre is located at 10 Erie Street South in Leamington. Doors open at 7 pm, show begins at 7:30 pm. Limited seating, patrons are urged to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets are just $20 per person, and available at Rebel Cowboy Music, 5 Main St. E Kingsville 519-997-7777 or Counter Effects, 2 Iroquois Rd. Leamington 519-326-4014 and Fletcher’s Cleaners, 245 Erie St. S, Leamington.

The concert is a fund raising project of both the non-profit Sun Parlour Folk Music Society and the registered charity Sun Parlour Players Community Theatre.
