On
Saturday May 10, 2014 a tragic accident on the 401 took the lives of two
members of our community. Alyssa Smulders, 13, and her Uncle Marc
Lafontaine, 35, both of Windsor were killed when a truck crossed the open
median near Chatham, ON.
In an effort to assist the family with funeral and living expenses during this trying time, several benefits, and a fund have been set up for those wishing to make donations.
The following events are being held:
A benefit dinner will be held at the Moose Lodge 777 Tecumseh Rd. W. on Friday May 30th, 6PM
Tickets are $15 at the door, $10 of which to go to the family.

benefit Poker tournament is being held at Lauzon Landing 1545 Lauzon Rd, on
Saturday May 31st, at 1pm. The tournament will have a buy-in
of $50, with half the prize pool going to the family. There will be
additional door prizes, and a portion of all food and beverage sales are going
to the family.
